SIGNIFICANT JURY VERDICT IN WHISTLEBLOWER CASE

Langrock attorneys Alison Bell and William Vasiliou obtained a significant jury verdict on behalf of their client in an action under the Vermont Whistleblower Protection Act. The client, a former prison superintendent with the Vermont Department of Corrections, asserted that he had been terminated in retaliation for advocating for adequate medical and mental health services to ensure the health and safety of inmates and employees. The jury returned a verdict of $605,000 after three days of trial.
