Our Firm History Diversity Recognition
Working to do it right.
Both our firm and our individual attorneys have been recognized with numerous honors and awards throughout our years of service. These are not simple pats on the back—they are reminders of the commitment we owe every client and community that we serve.
Our firm, and our individual lawyers, have been regularly recognized by our peers in the legal profession as being of the highest caliber. The firm has an AV Preeminent© rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating. Three-quarters of our partners have been selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®, the oldest peer-review publication in the legal profession, and a dozen have also been named Vermont’s “Lawyer of the Year” in their areas of focus by the same organization. As a firm, Langrock has been ranked “First Tier” by Best Lawyers in more than a dozen practice areas. Our individual attorneys have also been named by their peers and clients for inclusion in New England Super Lawyers® and in ChambersUSA®.
Over the years, our lawyers have also been honored, by the legal community and by the community at large, with many awards for our public service and pro bono work, including by the American Civil Liberties Union of Vermont, the Burlington Free Press, Middlebury College, the Vermont Bar Association, the Vermont Association for Justice, and the Vermont Legislature. And this Vermont firm—small by national standards—was recognized as one of the country’s “Pro Bono Firms of the Year” in 2000 by the National Law Journal.
