LS&W Sponsors “Harvest of the Month” Calendar for ACORN

Langrock was proud to sponsor a 2015 “Harvest of the Month” calendar, to be distributed to every third- and sixth-grade student in Addison County. The calendar was a project of the Addison County Re-localization Network (ACORN), which is launching a sustained food education campaign in Addison County’s elementary-schools, and providing ready-to-use training materials and tools for the classroom, cafeteria, and community that promote the use of local, seasonal foods. “Education about locally-grown foods, combined with the opportunity to taste new foods at school meals, is one of the best ways to get kids to make healthy choices, improve childhood nutrition, and support sustainable agriculture, all at the same time,” said Langrock attorney Emily Joselson, chair of the Addison Hunger Council.
