Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP Sponsors Vermont Women’s Fund Event
The Vermont Women’s Fund hosts Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code, at its annual benefit on Tuesday, October 30 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the UVM Davis Center. Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP is a “Change Agent” level sponsor of this important event.
Saujani founded the national nonprofit in 2012 to close the gender gap in technology by creating a network of afterschool coding clubs and summer immersion camps for girls. Girls Who Code is now a movement across the U.S., having reached over 90,000 girls in all 50 states.
And the results speak for themselves. Girls Who Code alumni are choosing to major in CS, or related fields, at a rate 15 times the national average; Black and Latina alumni are choosing to major in CS or related fields at a rate 16 times the national average.
Come hear this inspiring speaker and support the work of the Vermont Women’s Fund to forge pathways to viable careers for women and girls in our state. For more information, go to vermontcf.org/vwfoct30.
