Joselson Presents Series on Distracted Driving

Langrock attorney Emily Joselson is presenting a series of seminars to high school students to enhance awareness of distracted driving and the dangers it presents. Multi-tasking while driving – whether talking on a cell phone, texting, putting on makeup, eating, searching for music, or any other activity that diverts attention away from driving – creates something scientists call “inattention blindness,” where the brain does not notice an unexpected stimulus such as drifting into an oncoming lane or approaching a stop sign. “Distracted driving has become an epidemic in society,” Joselson told the students. “It’s become the norm.” For more information, see http://vtdigger.org/2014/05/15/mount-abe-students-warned-distracted-driving-risks/?utm
