Ellen Fallon a Finalist for Kunin Lifetime Achievement Award

Langrock attorney Ellen Mercer Fallon was honored as a finalist for the inaugural “Governor Madeline M. Kunin Lifetime Achievement Award,” organized and awarded by Emerge Vermont, an organization founded by former Governor Kunin to prepare and promote Democratic women in running for public office.

The award was presented at an event entitled “She Persists: A Celebration of Women in Politics,” and was deservedly won by Sallie Soule, age 89, a long-time state legislator, government official, and advocate. Ellen was one of a distinguished group of finalists, and was recognized for her tireless advocacy and role modeling for women in the law and beyond.

The program featured a keynote address by Vermont’s Speaker of the House Mitzi Johnson, remarks from Governor Kunin and others, and Muslim Girls Making Change performing their remarkable slam poetry/rap compositions.
