Emmett has a transaction-based practice, with concentrations in business, banking, commercial and residential real estate, development, permitting and zoning, and construction law. Emmett has represented lenders, investors, individuals, and developers in all aspects of real estate acquisitions, financing, development, leasing, sales.
Prior to joining Langrock Sperry & Wool in 2026, Emmett worked at several full-service firms in Boston, Massachusetts; founded and managed a small firm in Watertown, Massachusetts; and worked at a large firm in Portland, Maine.
Emmett grew up in Montpelier and returned to the state after practicing law in Massachusetts for many years. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, hiking, searching for swimming holes, traveling with family and friends, and carpentry — building anything from a ballista to a house.
