Biography

Fritz grew up in Vermont. He joined the firm in 1992.

Fritz is a mediator and trial attorney.

Fritz can help people and businesses navigate the litigation process either as a mediator or as an advocate.

Mediation – Fritz is available to mediate most civil and family disputes.

Litigation-

  • Personal injury, including motor vehicle collisions, burns, dangerous products, premises liability, slip and falls, and other claims based on negligence.
  • Criminal law, including DUIs and other driving offenses, assaults, thefts, marijuana and other drug charges, and various misdemeanor and felony charges.
  • Land use litigation, including eminent domain and condemnation cases, zoning and permitting disputes, and right-of-way, easement, and boundary cases.
  • Civil litigation, including construction disputes, breach of contract cases, collections, and consumer fraud actions.

Fritz also represents people in small business formation and real estate transactions.

Fritz is an active member in the American Bar Association. He is the treasurer of the ABA and will serve a three-year term as of August of 2023. He served on the ABA Board of Governors from 2017 to 2020 as representative of District 1 (VT, ME, NH, RI) and was State Delegate from Vermont to the ABA House of Delegates from 2007 to 2016. Fritz is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Prior to returning home to Vermont in 1992, Fritz was an associate in the litigation department at Winston & Strawn in Chicago.

Fritz lives in North Ferrisburgh with his wife Adela, where they raised two wonderful children. Fritz is an avid if unskilled hockey player. He is a past president of the Vermont State Amateur Hockey Association and was a director to USA Hockey from the New England District.
